Aduro Diamonds Pty Ltd (“Aduro”) is an Australian diamond explorer controlling over 85,000 hectares of mining and exploration leases in New South Wales, representing the Copeton, Bingara, Narrabri & Delungra Diamond Projects. Aduro is targeting near term alluvial diamond production from Copeton while simultaneously conducting an exploration program to identify the source or sources of the alluvial diamonds in the project area.
Aduro was incorporated on 11 July 2014 and its operating subsidiary Copeton Diamond Mines Pty Ltd (“CDM”) was incorporated on 8 August 2014. On 15 August 2014 CDM signed a purchase agreement with Torian Resources Ltd to acquire 6 mining leases (ML’s) in the Inverell district of New South Wales. These ML’s, which incorporate a number of the historic Copeton mines, cover 581 hectares. Following a 16 month process, the Company completed the transfer of these mining leases in December 2015.
Now in 2017, CDM has since applied for and been granted 8 surrounding exploration licenses, covering approximately 85,000 hectares, consolidating its land position in the region. Aduro, through CDM, now controls a massive land position of over 85,000 hectares, representing the vast majority of all known diamond occurrences in the region.
